Q:
What do you need to do?
A:
All you need to do is ensure your router is configured to receive a DHCP address on or before the date indicated in your email. Once your router is prepared, our system will assign an IP address automatically.
Q:
Will there be any change to my service?
A:
Your unWired Broadband connection will continue to work the same way it has. Most users will not notice any change. If you are an advanced user or regularly access your network from another location, you may need to update those connections to your new dynamic IP address.
Q:
Are there any charges for this upgrade?
A:
No, there are no additional charges for this upgrade. If you wish to not move to a new dynamic IP address and would like a new static IP address instead, those can be purchased through our sales department. This will still require a new IP, but that IP will not change again in the future.
Q:
What if my router is not set to DHCP?
A:
If your router does not have DHCP enabled by the indicated deadline, your connection may stop functioning correctly. If this occurs, please contact Tech Support at (559) 261-4444 opt. 2 and we will get you back online.
