6 Apps Everyone Needs for Winter

With winter upon us, it’s important to be prepared and luckily there’s an app for just about everything! We complied a list of some of our favorite apps to help you stay warm, have fun and make the most of the winter season.

Keep track of the weather.

Whether it’s figuring out the fog forecast or checking out the snow conditions, these apps will help you be prepared for whatever winter weather may bring.

This is one of the most detailed apps for weather…even more comprehensive than your phone’s native weather app. This app provides minute-by-minute forecasts, sunrise and sunset times, allergy conditions and more. AccuWeather can help you plan for snow, rainy weather or that dreadful Valley fog.

Keep track of the snow and ski reports for more than 2000 ski areas around the state and world. This app allows you to save your favorite ski resorts, get powder alerts and see live webcams. If you are an avid skier or snowboarder, OnTheSnow is a great way to make sure you don’t miss out on any perfect conditions.

Bake some yummy treats.

Cookies, pies, cakes galore! Winter is the perfect season to bake something delicious for your loved ones and these apps will help you do just that.

Pinterest is one of the leading social media platforms that can help you get inspired with recipes and more! Simply create and account and search for anything. Whether you need a recipe for your holiday party or you’re stuck at home on a rainy day and want to bake something, you can find thousands of recipes on Pinterest.

Out of butter? Don’t have any cocoa powder? Substitutions is an app that will show you some substitutions options for different ingredients, so that no matter what you have in your pantry you can whip up something delicious!

Stock up your pantry.

Have an empty pantry, but it’s too cold to go to the store? Good thing there are a plenty of apps that will allow you to stock up your pantry without leaving your car or even your house.

Walmart Grocery is available at most Walmart locations across the country. The best part about Walmart Grocery is that you don’t even have to leave your car. All you have to do is order your groceries on the Walmart Grocery app, schedule your pickup time and check-in on the app when you park in the designated parking spot. A Walmart employee will then bring out your groceries and load them into your car!

One of Amazon’s most recent ventures is grocery delivery. Amazon is now a grocery delivery service! You can get a variety of non-perishable groceries delivered to your home…and if you have Amazon Prime you get free shipping too!
